If you are seriously overweight, and serious about
     doing something about it.

Our pharmacy can help you succeed with Lipotrim - with a weight reduction programme previously only available from your doctor.

The average person uses about 2000 Calories of energy each day and on the Lipotrim Programme your calorie intake is reduced. The difference between energy used up and energy eaten means that the body's reserve stores of sugar and fat are drawn on to meet the body's needs. In this way body weight is lost. You are not actually living on reduced Calories; you are only changing the place the Calories come from.

The body, when not dieting, uses mostly sugar for energy rather than fat. The sugar content of the diet is kept deliberately low so the body's own sugar stores get used up quickly. Fat then becomes the major source of energy.

Drinking Water

In addition to the water used to mix your diet, we recommend you drink at least 3 litres of water each day.

The foods we would normally eat are made up of large amounts of water so you will not be getting an adequate amount of water unless you purposefully drink it. Drinking should be frequent throughout the day - not all at once. A glass of water before and after a Lipotrim serving is also recommended.

Alcohol and Diet Drinks

STRICTLY no alcohol or diet drinks. These will disrupt the ketosis process and affect your weight loss.

Tea & Coffee

You can continue with your normal caffeine beverages as long as you take them without milk and sugar. Tablet sweeteners are allowed if necessary and these beverages do count as part of your daily water intake.

Temporary Discomfort

Possible temporary discomfort may be experienced during the first few days on the diet.

Headaches may occur due to insufficient fluid intake, change in caffeine intake or carbohydrate withdrawal. Increasing water intake should lessen these symptoms. You may also take your usual painkiller, such as aspirin or paracetamol. NB These symptoms are only temporary as your body adjusts to the new regime.
Bowel movements will be less frequent on the diet than on ordinary food and this is quite natural. However, if you tend to suffer from discomfort due to constipation drink even more water in the first instance. If problems persist, then you may need a fibre supplement, such as Fibreclear or Plain Fybogel or senna, where you can purchase online from

Exercise

Exercise can be carried out as desired, but it is recommended that you take it easy for the first week or so  of dieting, due to glycogen and water shifts. At first you may feel tired and lethargic - this is normal and will pass once your body has adjusted.
When exertion is to be done, it is essential to hydrate prior to the exertion.
Many patients are over weight because for whatever reason their mobility is limited , obesity in itself can limit mobility. Exercise is important in a healthy lifestyle but not essential when following the Lipotrim Diet.

The impact of exercise on weight loss is very small. A 35-mile run is required to use up 3500kcal necessary to lose 1 single pound of fat.

Other Medicines or Supplements

A medical condition does not mean you cannot do the diet. If you do have a medical condition we can work with your GP's and will keep in regular touch with them whilst you are on the Lipotrim Programme. All medication prescribed by your doctor should be continued unless advised to the contrary by your doctor. There is no need for any supplements, vitamins or oil capsules while taking the Lipotrim formula
